In October of last year, it was announced that December of 2021 and the first part of 2022 would see the renovation of the restrooms on all four levels of the main school building. The majority of this work is made possible through the generosity of donors to the parish’s Capital Campaign.
The project is separated into four phases in order to allow our students to continue to use the restroom on the other floors while one is being renovated. Each phase includes demolition, preparation of wall and floor, installation of tile, painting, installation of partitions, completion of millwork, installation of fixtures, and completion of the final cleaning. The timeframe for each phase/floor is below:
Phase I (3rd Floor): December 20th-January 28th
Phase 2 (2nd Floor): January 31st- March 14th
Phase 3 (Basement): March 21st-March 29th
Phase 4 (First Floor): May 2nd-May 25th
Close of March – Update
As of this writing, the project is running ahead of schedule. They are targeting second phase completion by Friday, 4/15 and have the restrooms operational on Monday 4/18. On the week of 4/18, they hope to begin phase 3 by extracting fixtures and partitions in the basement restrooms. If this comes to fruition, the job will complete before school is out.
