THE ASSUMPTION – OPENING OF THE YEAR | THURSDAY, AUGUST 15, 7 PM

We return to worship in our beautified church for Mass on our patronal feast for the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary! Liturgical music will feature our parish choirs, brass, strings, timpani and our pipe organ. Hors d’oeuvres reception to follow in the courtyard.

PARISH PICNIC | SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 12.30 PM

A special parish picnic this year! A catered meal from Bob’s Backyard BBQ, a concert with Lee Roessler, and activities for the kids in the courtyard.

ALL SOULS MASS with the FAURE REQUIEM | WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 7 PM

The Mass of All Souls with the Fauré Requiem. Commemoration of the 30th anniversary of our Austin Organ (Opus 2714) and its dedication concert.

HERITAGE CANDLELIGHT TOUR | SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14, 6 PM

Guests end the Candlelight Tour at Saint Mary to hear Advent pieces by our parish’s adult choir, children’s choir and schola, strings, and the Fisher Catholic choir.

ADVENT LESSONS AND CAROLS | SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15, 3 PM

Scripture readings on the Fall, the promise of a Messiah, the Incarnation, and the Second Coming, each followed by a carol or hymn, and drawn to close in prayer.

WORLD MARRIAGE DAY – MASS AND WINTER GALA | SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 1, 5.30 PM

A wonderful evening with your spouse! Mass at 5.30 pm with a special blessing for married couples and the Gala to follow.

PARISH MISSION – DEACON GREG KANDRA | MARCH 16, 17 and 18, 7 PM (CANCELLED-Pandemic)

Deacon Greg has spent three decades in broadcast journalism – mostly with CBS as a writer and producer. He co-wrote the acclaimed CBS documentary “9/11”, won 2 Emmys, 2 Peabody Awards, and 4 awards from the Writers Guild of America. He has written books and offers the blog “The Deacon’s Bench” with a readership of 20 million from around the world.

TENEBRAE | SUNDAY, APRIL 5, 7 PM (CANCELLED-Pandemic)

A service in darkness with the singing of Psalms, readings from Scripture, and prayers as candles are extinguished.

SINGING THE MASS DOWN THE AGES | FRIDAY, MAY 1, 7 PM (CANCELLED-Pandemic)

A choral concert of music written for the sacred liturgy of the Mass down through the centuries.

CORPUS CHRISTI | SUNDAY, JUNE 14 – 12. 30 pm, 4.30 pm

Exposition beginning after 11.15 Mass. Stop in anytime to make a visit. Procession and Benediction beginning at 4 PM.

HERITAGE TOUR OF HOMES | JUNE 27 from 11 AM – 3 PM and JUNE 28 from 1 – 4 PM (CANCELLED-Pandemic)

Visit and tour our historic church since her recent 2019 beautification as the feature highlight on the Tour of Homes.

OPENING NIGHT – LANCASTER FESTIVAL | THURSDAY, JULY 23, 6 PM (CANCELLED-Pandemic)

Saint Mary hosts the opening night of the Lancaster Festival with special selections to commemorate our bicentennial year. An ice cream social begins in the courtyard at 6 pm with the concert to follow at 8 pm in the church.

THE ASSUMPTION – BICENTENNIAL YEAR CLOSING MASS | FRIDAY, 14 AUGUST, 7 PM

Closing Mass for our bicentennial year with a reception to follow in the courtyard.
