We hope you had the opportunity to come and see our middle school production of “Shrek the Musical, Jr.” April 25 and 26. What a great opportunity for our students to stretch their creative muscles and showcase their musical talents!

Our 8th grade began the month with their presentation of the Living Stations of the Cross. They did a wonderful job, and it is always an inspiring reflection of Jesus’s passion.

Mrs. Silleck took our middle school honors choir to perform with the Diocesan Honor Choir on April 8. This is an opportunity for our students to interact with choir students from across the diocese and join their voices in worship and praise.

Our 7th and 8th grades took field trips this month to United Skates of America to learn about STEM concepts in everyday life—even roller skating! They also had the opportunity to spend time skating for physical fitness.

The Columbus Zoo was able to reschedule their visit from earlier this year. They presented our students a program that not only introduced them to animals from all across the globe, but also explained how human behavior can have consequences to other species.

Our 4th grade presented their “Famous Ohioan” reports on the 17th. The students learn about a famous resident of the state, then dress as that person and give their reports in the first person. A great opportunity to learn about the many diverse, talented people who called Ohio home.

The 8th grade took another field trip also on the 17th to the OSU Byrd Polar & Climate Research Center. Students were able to get a glimpse of how monitoring ice core samples is providing scientists with climate change date.
