One of the highlights of the parish picnic this past Sunday was the best pie contest. Some forty pies were submitted in the contest and placed before our esteemed panel of judges: Fairfield County Court of Common Pleas Judge (Retired) the Honorable Chris Martin; Parish Pastor, Fr. Craig Eilerman; and the City of Lancaster Chief of Police, Adam Pillar. The winners were as follows:
Best Cream Pie – Jane Carpenter with her Banana Cream Pie
Best Fruit Pie – Joanna Vanderbilt with her Apple Pie
Best “other” Pie – Cindy Albert with her Coconut Pie
Overall winner – Joanna Vanderbilt
