On the Second Sunday of the Resurrection, 27 April, was held the unveilings and blessings of the St. Mark the Evangelist Commemorative piece and Shrine (dedicated to the parishioners of the former St. Mark the Evangelist Parish) and the St. Mark Assembly Hall. A selection of photos from that afternoon before the social can be found below.

The former St. Mark Church and surrounding 38 acres are now called the Basilica of St.
Mary of the Assumption Emerald Campus, after the name that her former long-time pastor, Fr. Peter Gideon, called the church and grounds.

Msgr. Eilerman blessing the Commemorative piece and Shrine that includes an image of St. Mark the Evangelist, a brief biography of St. Mark, and an overview of the history of St. Mark the Evangelist Parish.

A brief Liturgy of the Word Service was celebrated.

Later, Msgr. Eilerman spoke about the project and how grateful we all are for the former parishioners of St. Mark supporting the coming together of parishes and making the best of combining facilities, ministries and resources for the good of our parish and the wider community.

The colors were presented by the Knights of Columbus and placed in their appropriate places in the new assembly hall.
