The Society holds its annual luncheon meeting on Saturday, May 5, at Westminster-Thurber Community in Columbus. They will gather at 11:30 AM, luncheon begins at 12:15. After that will come a presentation by Msgr Frank Lane. To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Diocese of Columbus, his topic is on Lost Horizons and Forgotten Pieces on Pilgrimage, taking a look at the rapidly changing experience of the Church in our area from the early missionary days to the more settled world of growthand development. He will revisit some of the “lost” churches and communities in the diocese and wonder about the continuation of shifting patterns of the Church in the contemporary age. Msgr Lane earned a Ph.D. in history at the Ohio State University. He has taught at the Athenaeum of Ohio, St Bonaventure University, the Pontifical College Josephinum, and diocesan high schools. He has published many articles and translations. He was a chaplain in the Ohio National Guard, and received the army commendation medal.

A short business meeting follows the presentation. Copies of the new biography of Bishop Rosecrans by member Tom Schlegel will be available. Cost of the luncheon is $20 @ person.
