\nMonday of the 4th Week of Lent<\/strong><\/p>\n

View the Mass Readings<\/a><\/p>\n

In our first reading from Isaiah, we a told of a time when Jerusalem will be lifted up. God will make all things new and the things of the past, the pain of the past will not be remembered. I’m sure there are many times for all of us where we sit down and think of moments when we may have made a mistake or something bad happened to us. In our first reading, God tells us that he can and will make all things new. I think now is the perfect time for us to step into that hope that God can and will bring us into a new Joy.<\/div>\n

Our gospel reading today from John talks about Jesus’ travel to different cities in the area. During that travel, Jesus is approached by a Royal official and is asked to heal this man’s son. Jesus states that people will only believe if they can see signs. But the official presses in and begs Jesus for healing for his son. To this Jesus says that the Royal Officials son will live. As we move forward with our lives in this current time, are we waiting anxiously or with trusting faith and hope that God will heal our country, state, family, or home? I think we can benefit from the example from this Royal official and act in faith and trust that what God said is true, “Behold I make all things new,” “you may go, your son (family, country, etc.) will live.”<\/div>\n

As we move forward with our week I pray that we will continue to trust in the Lord and His promises.<\/div>\n
